How to Login to VRBO as a Guest

First Time Users

Step #1

Begin by heading to VRBO’s main webpage to get started. On the main screen, you’ll see four options across the gray bar – Trip Boards, Login, Sign Up, and the Help button.

As a first time user, you’ll want to click on Sign Up.

Step #2

After selecting Sign Up, an in-set window will open to give you the options for signing up (or logging in).

You can put in an email address, or select to use an account from another platform, like Apple or Google, to get into your account.

If you choose an email, it should be an email that you check regularly.

VRBO communicates important information about your bookings and experiences via email, so stick with something you use.

It might also be in your best interest to link your accounts for ease of use – Google if you regularly use Gmail or the Gsuite, or Expedia if you’re a regular traveler.

From there, you can click Get Started and continue with the sign up process.

Step #3

After putting in your email (or other account), fill in the other identifiable information.

VRBO just asks for your first name, last name, and a password.

From there, you’re part of the community! You’ll be off to booking in no time.

Returning Guests

Step #1

To log back in to your account, click on the same icon you used to sign up for your account.

This time, select Login.

It will take you back to the same screen you used to make your account, which is also the VRBO login page.

Step #2

On the VRBO login page, put in email address you used to sign up.

You can also select to login with one of the other accounts (Facebook, Google, or Apple ID) if that account is linked to your VRBO account.

You will also need to put in your password at this point. I suggest that you have your browser save the password, especially if you don’t book often. That will keep you from forgetting the password later on.

Step #3

Now you can book! It’s that easy. Just put in the location you wish to search, and you’re off!

Login as a Host

First Time Users

Step #1

Thinking about becoming a VRBO vacation host?

You can list your property in just a few easy steps!

Start by clicking the List your Property button on the VRBO home page.

The icon is all the way to the right, in the top gray bar. From there, the site redirects to the welcome page for new hosts.

Step #2

From there, you’ll need to fill out some basic information.

What is the basic layout of the listing?
Where is the listing located?

Then you put in your phone number so that the VRBO team can get in touch.

After that, you’ll see an estimation of how much you could earn in a year with the property. Again, this is just a prediction based on VRBO’s algorithm, but it’s nice to see before you go through with listing your location.

Also, if you already host a property on another site (like AirBnb), you can have VRBO call you to start building your listing. This way you don’t have to start completely from scratch.

Step #3

From there, VRBO has a few steps you need to take to verify your listing, as well as clarify the details of the property. You can put in the type of property, photos, pricing, and other particulars before publishing the listing. Once that’s complete, you just have to wait for guests to find your property!

Returning Hosts

Lucky for you, there isn’t a separate “VRBO host login.”

You just login the same way you would as a guest!

VRBO only allows one account per person, so your hosting and guest accounts are one and the same. The main difference is the way you manage your account.

Step #1

To log back in to your account, click on the same icon you used to sign up for your guest account. This time, select Owner Login. It will take you back to the same screen you used to make your guest account.

Step #2

On the in-set window, put in either the phone number or email address you used to log in. You can also select to login with one of the other accounts (Facebook, Google, or Apple ID) if that account is linked to your VRBO account. Remember, it’s the same as your guest account, so the password will be the same. That’s it!

VRBO Property Managers

When you want to log back in to see your rental property and manage your bookings, make sure you select Owner Login option from the dropdown menu. From there, that will take you to the login page specifically for managing your property. On the dashboard for VRBO property managers, as well as different tools to help you be as successful as possible.

Special FAQs

How do I login to my VRBO account?

Click on the login icon on the VRBO home page, then put in your email address or select your linked account (Google, Apple ID, Expedia, etc.). From there, VRBO will prompt you for your password, which you can then type in the box. Click Get Started and that’s it! You’re in.

How do I find my VRBO account?

Once you’re logged in, you’ve accessed your account. If you’re looking for more aspects of your account, you can click on your name (where the login icon used to be) and then select any of the options from the dropdown menu. The My profile  link helps you to verify your account, provide any desired personal information, see your reviews, and more. Inbox gives you the chance to see any notifications you might have, while My trips lets you see the plans that you booked.

Why can’t I log into my Airbnb account?

A few issues could prevent you from accessing your account:
1. You’re trying to login in with the wrong information. I know, that seems basic, but there have been times when I was sure I was using the right password, and I wasn’t. Try resetting the password and try again. If you try to login with the wrong information five times in a row, you will be locked out of your account.
2. The browser is glitching. Sometimes, updates to browsers and webpages alike can cause a conflict between the two. Try opening a different browser to login. There may also be an issue with the cookies and caches on the browser – try clearing these and login again.
3. Issues with the platform. The user interface between the Airbnb webpage and the Airbnb app are not the same. If you’re trying to get in on the app and can’t, try using a browser on a computer instead. The same goes if the reverse is true. Sometimes you can access one, but not the other. There seem to be more problems with the website than with the app, so going with the app version is the way to do it.

I can’t login to my VRBO account. Now what do I do?

First thing you should do is try to call VRBO. Their primary contact number is 1-877-202-9331, which is the way you can get ahold of them immediately. You can also go through the Contact Us section on your website. It will prompt you to say if you are a Traveler, Owner, or Property Manager, and then direct you to the right help from there.

How do I find my VRBO confirmation code?

You will receive an email with the confirmation information, including the code, to the email address you have on file with your VRBO account. That is why it is important to sign up with an email you use regularly, so that you receive all the information about your trip.
Confirmation information is also always under the My trips section of your account. Simply click on My trips, and then the booking you need to check, and you’ll find the information!

How do I change my VRBO email login?

This is super easy to change! Once you’ve logged into your account, select Profile on the dropdown menu. From there, you just need to scroll down through the personal information, edit, save, and you’re down! You can also follow these steps from VRBO if you’re a checklist kind of person.

How do I manage my VRBO notification settings?

When you login, click on the My profile link to go to your main profile. From there, select Communication Preferences from the side menu. That will take you to all the communication setting options for your VRBO account.

Adjust the notifications you receive for messages, reminders, promotions from VRBO, community updates, and account security. You can also control your push notifications for your mobile app in this section.

What information does VRBO collect about me when I login?

There is some information that VRBO needs to have in order to successfully run your account. While you do have a lot of control about the information they have access to and how it is shared, there is some information that VRBO has to collect. Information VRBO needs contact information (name, postal address, email, etc.)
email verification, and payment information.
