Feel like you’re staying in a traditional California hacienda at the Korakoa Pensione. Taking inspiration from traditional Spanish architecture and décor, this hotel fits with the beautiful mountainous desert surrounding it. Natural woods, stone, and even woven grass take center stage in the design of the rooms. Rooms are fairly large, with a variety of layouts and styles. You’ll feel like you’re staying a vacation home or guest house versus a hotel. You have all the look of a rustic village, with the feel of a luxury location.
If the gorgeous rooms weren’t enough, the Korakia Pensione is one of the best hotels in Palm Springs in terms of amenities. To begin, this hotel has a library, a feature put in by the original owner, artist Gordon Coutts. You can still see work of local artists in this space, something you won’t find in another resort. On top of that, the pools are like the resort’s personal hot springs, heated and filled with salt water. Between the breakfast delivered to your door and movies outside at night, you’ll feel spoiled at Korakia!

Brightly colored and comfortable lounge furniture surround the pool, giving a whole new meaning to the term sun bathing.
Rooms have a modern, homey feel, complete with full kitchen and dining spaces in the king rooms. You’ll also love the private patios of the king rooms, ideal for a dinner al fresco after cooking in the kitchen. Recommended for shorter stays are the queen rooms, which have all the same amenities as a king (such as a fridge and complimentary breakfast) without the full kitchen or patio.
Showing a different side of California, Sparrows Lodge takes inspiration from the log cabin lodge-style décor of Californian ranches. While the resort has more of these natural touches, like dark woods and stone accents, the luxury still abounds. Rustic chic, for sure!
All of the rooms have beautiful and comfortable furnishings, unique artwork, and private patios. In the bathrooms, discover the amazing feeling of a rain shower while you use the provided Grown Alchemist toiletries. What you won’t find in any of the rooms is a television or a phone. Rooms come in three categories – standard studio, large studio, and one-bedroom suites. As the names suggest, the rooms get bigger and have a few more amenities as you move up through the categories. While the standard studio does have a mini-bar and mini-fridge, the one-bedrooms have a full kitchen with a cookbook library. When choosing your booking, you’ll want to consider how long your stay will be and exactly what you want out of your accommodations. However, what all the rooms have in common is stellar quality and comfort.

With the Indian Canyons and San Jacinto Mountains surrounding the hotel, you won’t believe the price! Adara Palm Springs is one of the best bargain hotels in the area, as the prices rarely go above $130. You can even get rooms about $100 a night, which is a steal given the area.
